The CrewHQ Trainee Programme provides a pathway into a career in film and TV production.
Based on site at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, home to some of the biggest productions made in the UK such as The Batman, Barbie and Wonka, this programme will give you:
Behind the scenes access to Warner Bros. Discovery film and TV productions
Training from amazing industry experts
Chance to interview for paid placements on Warner Bros. Discovery productions currently filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
Networking opportunities with crew
We love what we do – making the magic happen, working with different teams, solving problems and constantly improving. If you have a passion for working behind the scenes in film and TV production, then we would love to hear from you!
The Opportunity
This programme starts with training in our bespoke CrewHQ centre, based at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, to prepare you for work and give you support, awareness and skills in the following areas:
Set etiquette and resilience training for life on production
Understanding key paperwork and terminology
Guidance on how to be a freelancer
Exploration of entry level roles and career pathways across many different departments
CV preparation and interview practice
Throughout the programme you will get the opportunity to meet productions currently filming and be eligible to interview for trainee placements.
All trainees will be supported by our CrewHQ team with guidance as well as financial support for training travel and accommodation costs.
Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and CrewHQ are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. We particularly welcome a diversity of applicants including those from historically marginalized backgrounds.
Career Cultivator
CrewHQ is dedicated to removing barriers that prevent people from accessing entry-level roles in film and TV production. If you’ve been trying to break into the industry for a while but keep encountering obstacles or repeated rejections, the new CrewHQ Career Cultivator programme is designed to provide meaningful support and training.
The Opportunity
The programme aims to demystify the recruitment process, strengthen your application, interview and assessment-day skills, and help build the confidence you need to succeed.
We recognise that applying for opportunities can feel daunting and we welcome applications from underrepresented groups adversely affected by the societal impact of disability, neurodiversity, ethnicity, gender, or those from regions and social backgrounds where opportunities in film and TV may be limited.
To apply, you must have experienced barriers to entering the industry, be aged 18 or over, have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the programme, have less than one year of industry experience, and be available to attend training from 15–19 June.
If this programme is of interest to you, there will be a webinar on Wednesday 15 April, 17:00 – 18:00. Register for the webinar here.
